Beers from Crouch Vale at the 2018 YBF
Founded in 1981, we have survived and even prospered to be today, the longest-established brewery in the diverse, eclectic and damn fine county of Essex. We are immensely passionate about what we do and massively proud of our hand-crafted, multiple award-winning beers. The company is (and has always has been) independent and privately, family owned.
Location : Essex
ABV 3.7% Porter/Stout/Mild
Smooth and malty dark mild for drinking in quantity! Fruity and full – the use of roast barley in the mash provides not only deep-ruby colour, but also a subtle, clean and dry flavour.
Barrel Sponsor - A J Wakely & Sons
ABV 3.9% Bitter
Featuring earthy, spicy Slovenian hops this amber session ale is one to look forward to.
Barrel Sponsor - Jones Building Group
ABV 4.2% Golden Ale
Very pale with delicious (and outrageously expensive!) US Amarillo hops, which are earthily aromatic and the beer, highly drinkable. Yakima Valley is the area of Washington State in which the hops are grown.
Barrel Sponsor - Aerios Ltd
ABV 5.0% India Pale Ale
A superb premium golden ale with wonderful aromas of Amarillo hops and a lasting spicy and orangy flavour. Cara malt provides a little burnished colour, but the light body belies its strength. Dangerously drinkable!
